Plant Services Requests
To ensure Plant Services work requests are handled promptly and routed correctly, please note the following:
How to Submit a Work Request
- Online: Log into My Access → Click Work Order → Select “Work Request – Plant Services.”
- By Phone: Call the Plant Services main number: 423-236-2919
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Mon–Thu) and 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Fri)
- After Hours Emergency: If the repair cannot wait until the next business day, press 0 to reach the Plant Services director on call.
By Email: Send to plantservice@southern.edu. Please include the building and location (e.g., room number) where the repair is needed.
Important Reminder
Please do not call Plant Services technicians or staff directly. Direct calls do not place your request at the front of the queue and may delay response, as the request is not properly logged, prioritized, or dispatched through our system. Submitting your request through the proper channels ensures it is documented, prioritized, and assigned efficiently to the appropriate personnel.
