Tips for Presentations

  1. A picture, chart, graph, table is worth a hundred slides. Use them
  2. Complex ideas are best explored in examples - Dick Hardt's presentation at OSCON OSCON_Keynote_Lg.mp4.zip is an excellent example. Although you may not adopt his style, it works extremely well for his presentation.

  3. Don't present material that you don't expect people to understand. That mostly means code is out. If you think people may want to look at your code, then reference it with a link to an online resource and move on.
